We highlighted a similar deal earlier in the year and continue to find the Soundcore Life Q30 to be an impressive value. While the Q30 can't match the build quality or raw noise-canceling strength of a more expensive pair from Sony or Bose, the Q30 provides a cushy and comfortable design, excellent battery life of around 40 hours, USB-C charging, multi-device connectivity, and physical controls. Its sound is deeply heavy on the bass by default and absolutely not for audio purists, but the signature can be tweaked and customized through its companion app. And while its active noise cancellation is far from the strongest we've seen, it's still capable enough for tuning out everyday sounds, especially given its price.

Today's Dealmaster is focused specifically on video game deals, as both Microsoft and Sony are in the midst of sweeping "spring sales" for their respective gaming platforms. In general, most of the price cuts aren't as steep as you'll see around Black Friday and the holiday season, but many of the games on sale are still available for less than the street prices we've tracked over the past few months.

So to help anyone interested in picking up a new game separate the wheat from the chaff, we've picked out the best offers we could find from the 1,000+ deals listed across the two sales, highlighting the games that are both genuinely cheaper than usual and worth your time in the first place.

On the Microsoft side, the Xbox Spring Sale includes both Xbox and PC games and is scheduled to end on April 15. Microsoft has sent out $10 vouchers to select Xbox Live users alongside the sale, but note that many of the games on offer are also included in the company's Xbox Game Pass subscription service. For PlayStation users, Sony says the PlayStation Store Spring Sale will run through April 28, and another batch of deals will be added to the current selection on April 14.

Today's Dealmaster includes a nifty $10 discount for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, bringing the Switch game down to $50 at Amazon and Best Buy. This is the first significant deal we've seen on the 3D platformer, which only launched in February.

For the unfamiliar, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury contains two separate games. The first is the latest in Nintendo's long line of excellent Wii U games it has touched up and re-released for the Switch's wider audience. As our review notes, it remains a charming and inventive platformer that straddles the line between the free-form movement of 3D Mario games and the more linear level design of the series' 2D origins. It also supports drop-in, drop-out co-op with up to four players.

Bowser's Fury, meanwhile, is an all-new, roughly four-hour expansion of sorts that takes the feel of 3D World and applies it to an open-world environment, wherein Mario can hop from island to island and complete different platforming challenges almost at will. While our review found it to get somewhat repetitive over time, the game is fresh and perhaps a peek at where the franchise may be headed going forward.

Today's Dealmaster is headlined by more of a PSA than an outright deal: if you're a Nintendo Switch owner who has been on the fence about buying Super Mario 3D All-Stars, you have about a day left until Nintendo removes the game from digital stores and stops shipping physical copies to retailers.

Nintendo has positioned the retro-game collection as a "limited production" to celebrate its mascot's 35th anniversary since the game's launch last September. Earlier this month, the company reiterated that March 31 would be the title's official cutoff date. The game will still be playable after that point, and those who've previously purchased a digital copy will still be able to re-download it from the Nintendo eShop if they've deleted it from their Switch. Those who've bought an unredeemed digital copy will still be able to download the title after March 31 as well. But officially, Nintendo says it will no longer sell the game in the eShop after that date and that any remaining physical copies will only be available until stock runs out.

As of this writing, the game is still widely available. It's possible that third-party retailers will still have copies in stock for a few days after March 31, but if you don't want to risk having to go through the reseller market, here's a list of stores where the game is still up for purchase:

That's roughly $70 off Sony's MSRP, about $45 off the average street price we've tracked online, and it's tied for the largest price drop we've seen from a reputable retailer. We've seen this deal a few times since the headphones launched last August, including during the most recent set of Black Friday sales.

Clunky name aside, the WH-1000XM4 is our recommended pick for noise-canceling headphones for most people. The phones do a tremendous job of blocking outside noise, with a design that's comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time, a strong 30+ hours of battery life, USB-C charging, and multidevice pairing, among other useful features. In terms of audio quality, they have a more bass-focused, consumer-friendly sound by default, but Sony's convenient companion app includes an EQ tool that lets you create a more neutral sound if you'd like.

Competitors like Bose's Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 (which are also on sale today) offer clearer call quality and the ability to adjust the strength of its noise cancellation, while Apple's AirPods Max is one of the few wireless pairs that can approach the XM4 in terms of pure noise-canceling strength. Those are both strong choices, but for most people in search of a premium set of wireless headphones, we think Sony's pair has the best blend of comfort, features, performance, and, especially at this price, value.

Today's Dealmaster is headlined by a notable deal on the Nintendo Switch Lite. As of this writing, those who purchase Nintendo's portable game console at its usual MSRP of $199 can receive another $20 in-store credit at no extra cost.

At GameStop and Best Buy, this comes in the form of an e-gift card that will be emailed to you after your purchase. At Amazon, you'll have to use the code "8RLOZI4Z5INC" to redeem a $20 promotional credit, either at checkout or through a drop-down on the Switch Lite's product page. Amazon will then apply the credit to your account within seven days. Just note that Amazon's terms and conditions say the credit will expire 60 days after it's been applied, so you'll want to spend it shortly after taking advantage of the deal. Either way, this is a good opportunity for those who have been interested in the console to pick up a nifty bonus along the way, as traditional discounts on the Switch Lite have been exceedingly rare since the device launched in late 2019.

As a refresher, the Switch Lite is the lighter and more portable version of Nintendo's ultrapopular game machine. It offers a 5.5-inch display compared to the standard Switch's 6.2-inch panel and weighs about 30 percent less. The main functional difference is that it's an entirely portable machine—its "Joy-Con" controllers aren't detachable, it doesn't have a kickstand or vibration motor, and it can't be docked up to a TV or monitor. The smaller size means it loses a little bit of battery life compared to the latest model of the normal Switch, too—about 3-7 hours here, compared to 4.5-9 hours on the bigger model. But the rest of its internal hardware is virtually identical to the regular Switch, meaning it can play the same library of games with no drop in performance (games that require a detached Joy-Con to be played notwithstanding).

Today's Dealmaster is headlined by a $10 discount on Sony's DualSense controller, bringing it down to $60 at Amazon subsidiary Woot. This is the first significant deal we've seen for the PlayStation 5 gamepad, which has retailed for $70 at major retailers since the PS5's launch last year.

Our PS5 review gave a favorable impression of the DualSense: it's a bit bigger than the old DualShock 4 but still comfortable to hold, and it has an impressively detailed haptic rumble system, a built-in microphone for voice chat (with a built-in mute function), USB-C charging, and the same general layout that PlayStation owners have become accustomed to over the past couple of decades.

There have been reports of controllers suffering from drifting joysticks and busted triggers in the months since the PS5's launch, which is worrying, though Sony at least appears to cover those issues under warranty (albeit with an added shipping cost). Either way, with PS4 controllers only supported on PS4 games and the market for third-party PS5 controllers almost entirely barren, the DualSense is more or less the only option PS5 owners have. If you need a spare today—and are actually able to purchase a PS5 in the first place—this deal should lessen the blow to some extent.

Today's Dealmaster is headlined by a number of sales on Mario games for the Nintendo Switch. The deals come as part of Nintendo's annual "Mario Day" event, which the video game company uses to celebrate its most beloved plumber, kart driver, golfer, boxing referee, typing instructor, prescription-drug supplier, and all-around mascot. The actual "holiday" arrives on Wednesday—March 10 = Mar10 = Mario, you see—but sales on various Switch games in the Mario universe are available throughout the week.

The event marks down several recommended games to $39, including the Switch essential Super Mario Odyssey, the digital board game Super Mario Party, the adorable adventure game Luigi's Mansion 3, the course-creating toolset that is Super Mario Maker 2, the multiplayer-focused tennis-meets-fighting game Mario Tennis Aces, and the more traditional 2D platformer New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

Other Switch games such as Yoshi's Crafted World, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and Paper Mario: The Origami King happen to be discounted at certain retailers as well, though not all of those are part of Nintendo's official sale. Though we've seen the controller drop as low as $50 in the past, deals on the Switch Pro pad are generally rare, and this deal matches the lowest price we've tracked in the past year. Nintendo normally sells the device for $70.

We've previously recommended the Switch Pro Controller in our guide to the best Nintendo Switch accessories. It's only worth buying if you regularly dock your Switch up to a TV, but if that's the case, it will provide a significant comfort upgrade over Nintendo's default Joy-Con controllers. The shape is roomier and easier to grip, the buttons are larger and provide a more satisfying sense of feedback, there's a genuine d-pad, and the whole thing gets an excellent 35-40 hours of battery life per charge. It keeps the same motion control and Amiibo scanning features, too, and it can be used with Steam on the PC if needed. (Though its lack of pressure-sensitive analog triggers could present issues there.) If you've ever used an Xbox controller, it should feel immediately familiar.

While we generally recommend Sony's WH-1000XM4 as the top choice among wireless noise-canceling headphones, this Bose pair is a strong alternative. Its battery life isn't as good, but its metal headband gives the design a more premium feel, and it offers a more neutral sound profile than the XM4's more bass-heavy default signature.

And though its active noise cancellation isn't quite as effective as the XM4's at maximum, it's not terribly far off. Perhaps more importantly, Bose's companion app lets you customize the strength of the noise-canceling effect on a 10-point scale, so you can lessen the intensity if you're somewhere that's only mildly noisy. If you need that extra flexibility—or if ultrastrong active noise cancellation tends to bring you discomfort—the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are a worthwhile option in the premium bracket.

We haven't formally reviewed the headphones on the site, but we have tested them for future buying guides and have been impressed with their quality. For well under $100, they offer a comfortable design that's well-padded and light on the head (if heavy on plastic), tremendous battery life that can supply more than 40 hours per charge (depending on volume), USB-C charging, physical volume and playback controls, and convenient multidevice pairing.

In terms of sound quality, the Soundcore Life Q30 has a "V-shaped" signature, which means they accentuate the bass and treble ranges at the expense of some midrange detail. The bass is particularly emphasized, so many hip-hop and pop tracks will have some serious punch. The headphones are definitely not a device for audio purists who like their cans to be as true to a song's recording quality as possible, but if you prefer a more excited sound (and many do), the Soundcore Life Q30 provide that without sounding sloppy. What's more, Anker's companion app has a graphic EQ with several presets that let you customize the sound into something brighter or more flat.

That's $10 off the indoor security camera's typical street price online and just $2 above the lowest price we've tracked to date. A two-pack of cameras is also on sale for $60.

We recommended the Indoor Cam 2K in our ultimate holiday gift guide last December for offering crisp 2K-resolution video that stays clearer than most 1080p cameras in this price range during the day or night, as well as multiple video recording options and a companion app that's easy to grok on both mobile devices and the Web. Its 125-degree field of view isn't the widest we've seen, and the hardware itself doesn't feel premium, but the device still supplies a number of features found in more expensive competitors. And while Eufy itself isn't a major name, we'll note that it's the smart home sister brand for Anker, a better-known manufacturer of accessories we've tested and recommended in the past.

The device lets you record video locally through a microSD card or NAS, while a cloud recording service offers 30 days of storage for a relatively reasonable $3 per month or $30 per year. There's a built-in siren, a mic and speaker to issue alerts in real time, and an 8X digital zoom for getting a closer look at images. You can integrate the device with both Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant. The app can send notifications when it detects different motions or sound, including specific alerts for crying children. It's largely accurate at deciphering what is or isn't worth pinging your phone, but you can also customize the sensitivity of the motion detection and set specific activity zones for the camera to watch out for (e.g., a couch you don't want the dog to jump on).

Today's Dealmaster includes a nifty $10 discount on Hitman 3, with the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and cross-gen Xbox versions of the stealth-action game all down to $50 at Amazon and Walmart. While we've seen this deal available for a few weeks, the game itself still only launched less than a month ago, so we figured it was worth highlighting for anyone who planned on picking it up elsewhere (and doesn't mind waiting for a physical copy to ship).

In general, Hitman 3 doesn't stray far from its predecessors but provides another collection of playful and slyly comedic sandboxes in which to goof around. It puts a bit more emphasis on the narrative surrounding globe-trotting assassin Agent 47, which can be hit or miss, but most of its six worlds still give you several avenues to explore on the way to each hit. While this isn't the kind of game that will change anyone's opinion of the series, it's as good a starting point as any for anyone who has thought about giving the saga a try, since it's possible to download and play the first two installments directly within this latest game as DLC. We should also note that anyone who buys the PS4 or Xbox One edition can download a next-gen upgrade at no extra cost.
